And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28)

Have you ever been asking yourself this question : why is life so hard? Just because you are frustrated with life & its issues? Frustration comes from us living in a world broken by sin. Pain is inevitable, but if you don’t pay attention, this pain will lead to bitterness.

Bitterness is a poison, a cancer to our hearts. When you get bitter towards someone, you are absolutely not harming this person but only yourself.

Life not going on like we’d like it to be, we very soon find ourselves envying & jealousing others, with such phrases “Why are things going on so easily for him/her & not me? What have i done?”

It is normal to feel envious & jealous in a dethroned world, but this will end up in bitterness that will wear us down. There will be pains in your life, the thing is to know wether they will have a positive or negative effect on you, wether you will mourn & complain or keep a positive attitude remembering these 4 truths :

  • The Holy Spirit is praying for you “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans” (Romans 8:26)
  • God uses everythings for our good ” And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, whohave been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28) The Lord is greater than your enemies, than your detractors, than your problems, He combines all things for your good.
  • God wants you to succeed “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? ” (Romans 8:31) He will fight for you in all in all these areas where you are failing.
  • The Lord will give you what you need “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? ” (Romans 8:32) God dealed with your biggest problem the day He paid for all your sins, even those you haven’t done yet. If the Lord of all things saved you & gave you eternal life, don’t you think He is able to take care of all those little things worrying you?

A decision for today : Remember God is good and He has everything under control. So be faithful and fearless, and trust God.
